Question: Abroad,what has been the strangest version of AMERICAN food you′ve had!?

In Germany, they thought they were giving us a treat by serving a special "American" dinner!. It was a hamburger (that appeared boiled) and potatoes that were supposed to be mashed, I think, that they apparently forgot to drain!.!.!. watery!.!.!. Maybe they had a leak in the water pipes in the kitchen! Yuck!.
We were hoping to find some great German sausages, etc!. and eventually the only place we could find them was at the airport! And they were surprisingly good there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Considering a lot of American food is a collection of foods for other countries is really hard to say!. and really i've never gone to another country and wasted the trip by ordering what i could get here!.

The idea of snacks in other countries is the most strange to me

I went to this restaurant and ordered a rib eye steak and it said stuff with cheese and bread and mushrooms with cheese on top!. it came out looking like a piece of rubber and the sauce made it look like someone threw up on it!.!.!.i have never seen a steak look like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was in Mexico and they were serving McDonalds, trust me that was NOT mcdonalds!. I almost vomitted! It tasted like game meat not cow meat!. The fries were shaped like steak fries and the burgers were not only disgusting but, they were dry!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A restaurant in Naples, Italy, had an "American Sundae" on their menu!. It was vanilla ice cream, with Jack Daniels poured on top ---- YUCKWww@FoodAQ@Com
