Cast your vote: Is pizza good or bad?!

Question: Cast your vote: Is pizza good or bad!?
So I am in this eternal battle with my Dad about pizza!.!.!.he swears it is a terrible food for you because of all the "grease" which I argue-it's dough, sauce, and cheese!. The grease comes out of the cheese yes, but it was always there-whether you cooked it or not!. What does everyone think!? Yes/No and state your reasoning!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Is it delicious!.

As for healthy, it does include many of the items that one would eat in a meal (eg!. meat, cheese, vegetables, etc!.) The only thing is that pizza uses lots of cheese, usually fatty/salty meats (cured sausage types) and the dough is usually white flour which is not as healthy as alternatives!. also when people have pizza, they tend to gorge!.

So, like anything, eat it in moderation and it is okay for you!. You can have sausage type meats and rich cheeses, just not everyday!. also you can do things to make it healthier like whole wheat crust and low fat cheese and chicken instead of pepperonis and salamis!.

Homemade pizza is probably better for you because at least then you can see how much fat/oil you put into it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Although you can make it healthier by using wheat crust, or maybe low sodium sauce, or low/no fat cheese, or lean meats, it's still a lot of food, grease, and calories!.

If you are eating pizza from a big chain place (Papa John's, Domino's, etc) then you are eating the worst of the worst in terms of healthy foods!. It's all sugar and fat!.

I personally love pizza, but you really shouldn't eat more than 2 slices in a sitting (a serving size which could very well contain 500 calories and 13+ grams of fat)!.

Short version: Sorry, your Dad is right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

pizza can be very fattening as well as healthy its al on how yo make it and what you put on it!.

well i am italian to and live in the states!.!.!.goccia i don't know where you come from but, mozzarella is CHEESE!.!.!.and we here put mozzarella on pizza!. while yes there are many varieties of pizza and cheeses people have put on pizza to make it the way they like--mozzarella CHEESE is the number one CHEESE put on pizza here, along with sauce and italian sausage,seasonings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It can totally depend on what you put on it!. I make homemade pizza all the time, but I use fat free cheese and skip the fatty toppings like pepperoni or sausage!. Pizzas can be made with a variety of ingredients, so I don't think it is correct to determine "pizza" as "unhealthy!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

its unhealthy!. yes the cheese is good for you in some ways, but its also loaded with calories and fat!. it depends on what type of sauce the place uses!. lots of sauces have high fructose corn syrup in them which is horrible for you!. dough, ok that's not that terrible for you, but bread is fattening!. and the grease!! horrible, horrible!.
if you want pizza, order it from a place that offers whole wheat crust (can't taste the difference from white!) and uses an all natural sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

american pizza is NOT pizza!!! is very very bad!!!!! you put cheese bat you must to put mozzarella!!! not cheese!!! and you stuff it very much with ingrediends grease and horribles!!!
only italian pizza is a real pizza!.
all others pizze aren't pizza, but a surrogate of pizza!!!

I think it depends on who makes your pizza and what ingredients are used!. Most pizza's probably aren't good for you, but some are, those from Naked Pizza for example!. Healthy pizzas are possible!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

man that got me hungry too! but i LOVE pizza!. even if it is kinda unhealthy for you its still amazing! and your right the grease is always there!. so hoped this helped you!.

p!.s i hope you beat your dad! lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Its kinda both but i go with healthy!. Cas the Cheese and meat with protein and bread which is in the grains only thing bad is the grease!. But really who cares who dosen't love pizza!. Danm got me hungry lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Good! It relieves stress which is bad for you!. also, cheese and tomato sauce are healthy!. And you can always get veggies on your pizza and whole wheat crust then you would have a 100% healthy meal!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pizza is maybe delicious but it isn't so healthy!.
If you eat it once in a month than it's cool but if you eat every week than you'll gain fat!.
So i say noWww@FoodAQ@Com

homemade is awesome
even though from like pizza pizza its greasy its still yummy

My mommy makes it yummyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Bad, I don't like the taste, it is greasy and if its from a chain restaurant it usually smells weird!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It would mainly depend on the toppings you put on!. If you put a lot of cheese and meat its going to be high in fat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

GREAT!!!!!!!!AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!INCRE!.!.!. is chickenWww@FoodAQ@Com

gooooooooooooooooooodWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it's good, if you make it yourself and add healthy stuff and no oilWww@FoodAQ@Com

good cuz it tastes good!. but only once and a while!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Both-don't put a lot of meat and add veggiesWww@FoodAQ@Com

it is kitty kat maw chawing delicious!.

Just don't eat it more than once or twice a month!.

meeeeeeeoooowWww@FoodAQ@Com

bad because it has tons of grease in it and fatsWww@FoodAQ@Com

HECK YEAH!!!!!!! im a hard core american-italian, and it is DELICIOUS!!!! its really not 2 un healthy!. drain the grease before u put it n, and ull be fine!!! enjoy!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I must tell you all yaw that i figers tat my mel makes the best pizza!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's good for ya
lots of proteinWww@FoodAQ@Com

pizza is actually very good for you!. it consists of grain, vegetables, dairy, and even fruit if its pinapple pizza or if a tomato's a fruit ha!. also,to get rid of the grease from the cheese,i use a napkin and damp it lightly on my pizza and it takes the grease right off and still tastes the same afterwards :))Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I agree!. Cheese is greasy!. Cheese is made from milk!. Milk contains fat!. Cheese is best eaten at room temperature!. If you notice, the longer cheese sits out at room temp little grease droplets begin to form (you really don't want eat cheese after it's been out THAT long)!. So yes, the grease has always been there whether or not it's melted on a pizza!. also, pizza is good for you (in moderation) especially if it's loaded with both meats and veggies!. You pretty much have all food groups in one item!. To cut down on the grease, just blot with paper towels!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it's good, but not good enough to be eating it every single day!. You are right, the grease was gonna be in there anyway you ate it!. also, if you order the right type of pizza, you might end up getting all of your food groups! For example, I had this yummy papa john's pizza last night and it had: alfredo cheese and spinach sauce (milk and veggies group) chicken (protein group), tomato (fruit group) and the crust (grain group)!. I know, it sounds weird and health-foodish but it was good!
Conclusion:
If you order the right pizza and eat it maybe 2 times a week, it can benefit you!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

its a bit of both depending on what you use and put on it!.

make a nice wheat crust,( or if ordering even ask if they offer wheat crust) use a good sauce, skim milk mozerella, spinanach, other veggies!.!.!.ect!.!.it can be a good pizza

even one with meats can be good, just cook before putting on the pizza this way you drain the greese before hand!.

just dont add extra salt!.!.!.use pepper, crushed red pepper, italian seasoning, onion poweder, garlic powder!.!.for flavorings!.!.!.!.

there many ways to make a healthy pizza!.!.!.

ENJOY!

The dough is also bad for you since it is white flour! The cheese is full fat so also bad for you!. If you add meat than you are just trying to kill yourself!. No it is not the best choice but if you need a slice or two than order it without the meat and add veggies!. Make sure it is also the this crust!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
