How long do you bake a 10-pound hickory-smoked frozen ham? ?!

Question: How long do you bake a 10-pound hickory-smoked frozen ham!? !?
Answers:
Hams are already cooked so you just want to heat it through!. Cook approx!. 15 mins!., per pound!. If you aren't sure it's heated through (boned-in hams heat faster) just cut a little slice into the thickest part of the ham and feel with your finger!. If it's hot it's done!. Don't over-cook it!.

I always put 1 1/2 cups of pineapple juice in my roaster with the ham (gives it a nice flavor while steaming it) and of course be sure to put the lid on the roaster!. If the lid won't fit, use aluminum foil and place over ham and edges of the roast pan!.

Defrost it first

I would tend to defrost the ham first too!. It's possible to overcook the outside,

while the inside remains cold or frozen!.

I would point out too, that not all hams are precooked!. For instance, a Virginia

ham!. They are salt cured, then smoked!. They come "raw" but will keep well for

many months without refrigeration!. They DO require full and proper cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
