Is a turkey that has been cooked frozen on a carcass safe to eat?!

Question: Is a turkey that has been cooked frozen on a carcass safe to eat!?
Answers:
no i dont think that is very safe considering it will more than likely still be frozen

Nope!. I'm not sure what you mean, but either way, it's not safe!. If the whole turkey is still frozen when it's cooked, the interior won't heat quickly enough to kill salmonella and other nasty bacteria, even if it's not stuffed!. (Stuffed, it's a nightmare!.) If the turkey is cooked, but then frozen whole, it will take too long to freeze, giving bacteria a chance to grow!. Always cook a defrosted turkey and remove the meat from the carcass before freezing it!.

Answer
If you have had turkey, left the meat on the carcass and froze it right away (the same evening) then yes, it's safe to eat, BUT BE SURE you thaw it out in the fridge and not on the counter! In the future carve all the meat off the turkey (package it to the amounts you want) and add a few drops of water on the meat before packaging and putting in the freezer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
