Tomatoes, pasta, onions and ground beef are fairly cheap!. Olives and Olive oil can be more expensive but you don't use the whole bottle in one go!. Not sure where you are going on this one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

wow i don't know what kind of places you are eating at but i have never spent $50 on Italian food!. Making some spaghetti cant possibly cost that much!?!?!?!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess it's because they're just living the American Dream haha!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's not fair!. All food is expensive!. Why in the world would you put ground beef in anything other than homemade ravioli!? Ick!.

If your making plain spaghetti, buy a cheap bottle of pasta sauce and flavor it!. Use less olive oil as well!. The lighter, the cheaper!.

Until the prices of food drops, we will all feel the pinch!. Since it's winter here, I've been making soups with cheap meats and dried beans!. You need to cut back a bit!.

Here's how I love my pastas!. First off, buy a box of Barilla Pasta Plus!. It has more protein and omega 3s in it!. It's also denser, hence you eat less!.

In a large bowl, I add oil, spices and garlic!. I cook the pasta according to the box and drain!. Never rinse!. I add the drained pasta immediatly to the bowl and stir, covering the pasta in the spices and oil!. When cooled, I stick in the fridge covered and use it for many recipes throughout the week!.

A buck and a half lasts me a whole week for dinners and sides!. But, then there's only two of us to feed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
