Answers:
Yes it would taste good although I would be careful with the potatoes because the beans take longer!. Here is a recipe you can use to go off of you don't have to use it to the T!.
This does sound delicious though!. Other ideas are lima bean soup or split pea soup!.

Things You’ll Need:
Ham bone
Large stock pot
1 cup celery
1 1/2 Cup Onions
2 cups potatoes
2 cups carrots
2 cups gravy (homemade or jar)
1 can of Northern Beans (instead of potatoes if you like)
2 cups whole kernel corn
Mrs!. Dash
Black pepper
Season all
1 cup green onions

Step 1!.

Cook in a Stock Pot Put all the ingredients in stock pot and add the ham bone!. Cook on Medium slowly for about 45 minutes or so!. Season as you like and add any other vegetables you desire!. English peas (sweet peas) are ok but can turn to mush if cooked too long!. You can add them in the pot ten minutes before you finish and that works well!.

Step 2!.

Chop a day ahead while the soup is cooking you can prepare other foods to add to your meal!. Total preparation/cook time is about 1 hour!.

**Chopping can be done a day ahead to save more time**Www@FoodAQ@Com

Boil the ham bone for a bit, then remove it and remove all the meat!. Put the meat into a container and in the fridge!. Put the bone back in the water and continue boiling for 4-5 hours with peppercorns, celery, onion and bay leaf!. This gets the marrow out!.

Then, strain well!. Put your dried beans back in the water with some stock and boil until almost done!. Add your taters and boil until almost cooked, at lastly add your ham!.

I eat dried bean soup all the time!. I do this with cheapo steaks as well, but I also add a bag of frozen stir fry veggies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add a can of chic broth and 1 onyun, you bean masterWww@FoodAQ@Com
