It's not bad for your health if you're eating lean cuts of beef or at least are trimming off the fat!. Beef is a great way to get protein, essential amino acids, and B12!. If you want to know what lean cuts of beef are check out http://www!.beefitswhatsfordinner!.com/lea!.!.!. It lists 29 cuts of beef that are "lean" or "extra lean" by government standards!.

Additionally, undercooking beef is not a problem IF you have handled it correctly (not mixed with raw chicken, keep in the refrigerator/freezer, etc!.)!. The only degree of doneness that could even remotely be dangerous even after handling the meat correctly is very rare because it only reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees F!. There is something called the bacteria danger zone which is between 40-140 degrees F and considered optimal temperatures for many bacteria to grow!. As long as your beef reaches an internal temperature of least 140 degrees, you're most likely going to be completely fine!. If you want to be super safe, cook it to medium which is an internal temperature of 160 degrees F!.

The pork versus beef is a give and take debate!. While beef has a possibility of being higher in saturated fat and calories, it's also got more monounsaturated fat (the good kind)!. However, even though pork is lower in saturated fat, it's higher in cholesterol!. Additionally, beef is slightly higher in protein and B12!. It's really what you're looking for and what you prefer!.

If you want something similar to beef to replace your steak maybe once a week or so, try bison!. It's actually higher in protein and lower in fat than beef!. It tastes nearly the same and now you can find steaks and ground bison so you can reduce fat and calories in your burgers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's not healthy to eat more than 500 grams of red meat per week!. It's not good for your colon and is hard for your body to break down!. Takes 3 days to digest while sitting in your intestines rotting away releasing toxins into your body!. If you are putting steak spice on it then you are also eating a lot of sodium which is not healthy!.

North Americans eat way too much proteins and fats and that's why they are obese and have a lot of cancers!. Try fish!. Halibut and salmon are nice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The key is variety and moderation!. Throw some fish and rice in there a few times a week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
