Can chefs have sleeve tattoos-- for those who work with chefs or in the industry?!
I know this is a weird question, but my husband already has tattoos on his forearms, and he has an appointment tomorrow to start on a sleeve!. He is wanting to pursue culinary school!. Chefs wear long sleeves anyway!. Do you think it matters!?!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a chef for many years and I have many tattoos!. They are very common in the food service industry!. Depending on the circumstances, such as serving a buffet- line or corporate dinner, perhaps wearing long sleeves is sometimes better!. Edited : Jenna's right, it is way hot in kitchens and sleeves usually are rolled- up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have been to culinary school and worked in restaurants and it does not matter!. It's not unsanitary or anything and that's all that really matters!. also, Chef coats do have long sleeves, but they always get rolled up past the elbow so that they aren't hanging in the food and because it's waaaaay hot in a kitchen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Of course! But for an interview maybe make him wear long sleeves!.!.!. They can't legally judge him for having tatoos, but it could still happen!. I don't think that tatoos effect cooking though!.!.!. lol good luck anyway!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Have you ever watched The Food Network!? About half the chefs on there have tattoos!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
