Is Skippy Peanut Butter safe from the salmonella outbreak????!!!?!

Question: Is Skippy Peanut Butter safe from the salmonella outbreak!?!?!?!?!!!!?
Answers:
Hello,

The peanut butter that was contaminated was sold in bulk quantities to places such as schools and factories!. Products such as peanut butter crackers are not safe because the companies (such as Keebler) generally buy the peanut butter they put in the crackers in bulk!.

The kind of small jars that you would buy at a normal grocery store are perfectly safe! Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's true!. As of 1-19-09 the FDA (food and drug administration) had released a statement that all peanut butter in jars are safe!. But don't eat any crackers, cookies, ice cream, etc!. until the FDA has said it is ok!.
PS Girl Scout cookies are safe!. =DWww@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldnt risk it, my friends dad ate skippy peanut butter last night, then went to work this morning, and came home 2 hrs later with all of the symptoms from salmonella!. He ate the chunky kind!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It should be, because it's in a sealed jar, and because salmonella can really only be found in contaminated seafood and poultryWww@FoodAQ@Com

I understand from news accounts that only products that contain peanut butter such as crackers and granola bars and such are potentially dangerous and that peanut butter in jars is safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you bought it in a normal sized jar, then it is perfectly safe based on all the information given by the media so far!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
