A Hot Toddy Is a mixture!. With

Mrs Risley - it's Toddy not tottie! That's something else!
A proper Hot Toddy can be made with the following combinations:
Rum, hot milk and sugar
Brandy, hot milk and sugar
Whisky or Whiskey (Scotch or Irish), hot water and sugar

You can add anything else you like or even leave out the sugar but these are the old recipes passed down through generations!.
Another old 'cure' for a bad cough is an egg white whipped with a tablespoon of Whiskey or Potheen until it's really frothy!. Take teaspoons of the froth then beat the residue again and continue sipping until it has all gone!. The albumen coats the side of your throat and deadens the tickle which makes you cough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
