As far that I can remember Tea in Europe was served at four O'clock with biscuits or little sandwiches, In Asia tea is a ritual ceremony served with great pride and honour to the guests !. The difference is the way that it's served , mostly it's a special time of the day , break time if you wish or the end of the day at work for others , and a celebration for others ,it all depends on the countries traditions!.
