Answers:
Cattle are killed first before having their throats slit!. They use a pneumatic gun and its supposed to be quick and painless!. Meat producers have learned long ago that cattle that are under stress do not produce very good meat!. This is because animal under stress produce a lot of lactic acid and it stays in their muscles, thus producing poor quality meat!. Meat producers are, after all, in business to make money!.

I have never worked in a slaughter house, so I can't tell you if all of that stuff is true or not!. However, I would say that PETA probably exaggerates a lot of it!. I have heard that the average rate of time for someone to work on a "kill floor" in a slaughter house is about 3 weeks!. Most people can't stomach it!.

Most of the meat eaters out there would probably be shocked and horrified to find out how the meat gets to their plate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you have to realize that these animals are bred ONLY for us to kill and eat them!.!.!.it's just how it is!. don't like it!? don't eat it and don't think about it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

True and worse!. You sould see what they do before they kill them!. Read "An Omnivore's Delemma" by Michael PollanWww@FoodAQ@Com
