Question: Why am I tasting salt on bottled water!?
I normally buy a case of Nestle Pure Life water and have never tasted any salt at all!. But in this case everytime I open a bottle and put my lips around it all I taste is salt!.

I know there is 1% of sodium but why am I tasting it!? I have never before!.

The water did freeze in my car and now has defrosted!.!.!.!.would that cause it!?

Please only answer if you know the direct answer to this!. I don't want to hear anything about drinking tap water!

Suggested experiment: Drink some of the water from a glass!. If you don't taste salt, the salt is on the lip of the bottle!. When water freezes, it expands and might have been forced out along the threads!. When that water evaporated, it would have left salt behind!.

If you do taste salt when you drink the water from a glass, the company might have changed sources for their bottled water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, the freezing and de-freezing caused this effect!. The freezing water has taken some components from the air around and the plastic or water has taken in those substances!. I suggest that if the water has the strong taste of salt, don't drink it, or filter it!. But if it's only a small amount of salt, be cautious drinking it or filter itWww@FoodAQ@Com
