Question: Homemade meals and counting Calories & Carbs!? Need help from those counting experts!. !?
How do you figure out a serving for a homemade meal!? What about how many carbs & calories are in them!?

Example - Chicken Noodle soup!. I made almost 3 gallons of chicken noodle soup (made in bulk to freeze for later)!.
It has in it
- 5 lb whole chicken
- package of baby carrots
- bundle of celery
- 2 whole onions
- 3 handfuls of mushrooms
- 1 lb of wheat noodles

Some of this comes in a package!.!.!.while other parts don't!. Not to mention I made my own broth by boiling the chicken, then cooling to take out the fat!.!.!.!.

How do I even start to estimate whats in that!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I found the link to the USDA food composition site:

http://fnic!.nal!.usda!.gov/nal_display/ind!.!.!.

You can go there and go to the sub links to find what you're looking for!.!.!.!.

I would suggest that you start off with "guesstimating" your packaged ingredients, the ones with Nutrition Facts labels on it!.!.!.!.!.Hope this helps!.!.!.!.!.

Look at the packages before you discard them!. They should tell calories per ounces!.

Buy a counter book that has both carbs and calories and other info!.

Then look up each thing and figure it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
