ya know when you have barely any food in the kitchen and you gather together what you have in the cupboards/fridge and try to salvage a meal out of it!? Whats the most creative meal you've managed to make!? Did it taste nice!? do you use it as a regular meal now!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I came back with my friend from this town we hitched a journey from this friend of a friend of a friend!.!. like!.!. he had the car and drove past it!.!. we wanted to get there and our friends put us together!.!.!. anyway!.!. we all were hungry!.!. I raided my friends fridge!.!. something with frozen prawns and salsa and cream and garlic and rice and brandy and!.!. I have no clue because its 25 years ago!.
Anyway!.!. I made a meal out of it!.!.!. somehow!.!.it was great

Smothered Muskrat & Onions
1 Muskrat
1 tbsp Salt
1 quart Water
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/2 cup Flour
3 tbsp Fat
3 large onions; sliced
1 cup Sour cream
Skin and clean the muskrat, remove fat, scent glands and white tissue inside each leg!. Soak muskrat overnight in a weak brine solution of 1 Tbsp salt to 1 quart water!. Drain, disjoint and cut up!. Put flour, salt & paprika in a paper bag!. Add muskrat pieces and shake until each piece is well coated!. Melt fat in heavy fry pan, add the muskrat pieces and saute slowly until browned!. When meat is browned, cover with onions, sprinkle with salt and pepper and pour the cream over!. Cover fry pan and simmer for 1 hour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

fried rice!. It's just with whatever veggies are in the fridge and whatever cooked meat I have in the freezer!. The kids always ask for thirds and my husband loves fried rice for lunch the next day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's not that creative, but I put salsa on scrambled Egg Beaters and loved the result!. It's the only way I eat Egg Beaters now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
