What foods would still be good after 1-2 years on the shelves?!

Question: What foods would still be good after 1-2 years on the shelves!?
I'm writing a post-apocalyptic novel and am having trouble finding reliable information on the internet!. I'm thinking mainly things like coffee, crackers, canned goods, that sort of thing!. I understand the basics!. (Crackers would go stale, duh) But I'm looking for others!. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Check out a survivalist website!. They have tons of foods available that are rumored to be able to withstand any coming disaster man or nature can throw at us!. You can check for any features they tout (like freeze-dried or vacuum-sealed or whatever) and use that as your base!.

Typically, I'd say Twinkies and most canned goods!. Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of apocalypse you're planning for your world, and some types (like radiation) would have elements that would penetrate a metal can!.

It would be funny if you could (without legal repercussions, of course) have a character find a pack of ruined Twinkies and be surprised they really didn't survive the disaster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honey in a jar( never goes bad)!.
Hard candies!.
Vinegars!.
Anything high acidic( ketchup, pickles, relishes, tomato sauces, salsa)
( despite the dating code)!.
All canned items( good for 10 or more years)!.
Forget the expiration dates on these items!.
also, you can have dairy items also!.
Anything packed in an aseptic container( like milk) will last 1 to 2 years( unopened)!.
