I'm in Australia but I was watching the US news this morning, 4am or sonething stupid, and the health dept dude that does all the talking said this!. "Peanut paste products, catering packs, stuff that goes into crackers or whatever no no no!. Then he said, all the commercial brands you buy at the supermarket are ok, no contamination found!. It seems it was all from a bulk lot that was never headed for jars in supermarkets, only catering and the like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think the whole peanut butter scare is way over blown !.!. you think about it !.!. 280 million people live in the us not counting illegals!. 500 get sick and 7 die!.!. now if it was the peanut butter that is served in schools and other places that buy peanut butter in bulk form !. don't you think that number would be way higher!. Something tell me there more than what they are saying!. With just 507 people infected so fare you think they could figure it out!. What they ate and where it was ate in common!. Not like it is several thousand people infected !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

So far, the FDA has said that peanut butter sold in jars is not a concern!. It's peanut butter paste that is used in things like cookies, cracker sandwiches, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
