I have read word SALSA many times when I read news on different kinds of foods!. Today, while going thru similar news, it was mentioned:
"Blend equal portion of yogurt with your favorite SALSA for a fat free, low-calorie dressing for salads, chicken, and fish"!. What does this mean!? Please guide me in details to the greatest extent as I am layman as far as the use of SALSA is concerned!. Thanks a lot indeed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Salsa is the Spanish, Arabic, and Italian word that can refer to any type of sauce!. In American English it usually refers to the spicy, often tomato- or corn-based hot sauces typical of Mexican cuisine, particularly those used as dips!. In British English, the word typically refers to salsa cruda, which is common in Mexican cuisine

There are many canned/jarred products selling these kind of sauces under the bran names La Victoria, Tostitos, Pace, Clint's Picante, Old El Paso, Ortega, Taco Bell, Carrillo's Fire-Roasted Salsa, Bandana Bandito !.
But i suggest to use fresh sause as far as possible!.

1 lg!. can tomato paste
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
6 tbsp!. vinegar
1 jar jalapeno peppers
1 can green chilies, diced
1 tsp!. chili powder
1 tsp!. garlic salt

Run tomatoes through a food processor until coarsely chopped!. Combine other ingredients and cook until thick about 2 hours, stirring often!. Pour into prepared pint jars and seal!. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath!.

Salsa is just a blend of tomatoes and peppers!.!.!.

Green Salsa

7 serrano peppers
3 green tomatoes
1 garlic clove

Boil the 7 peppers and tomatoes until they are really soft!. Once soft, in a blender put the peppers and tomatoes and chop up the garlic cloves in really small pieces and blend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is basically a spicy dipping sauce!. I make mine from diced tomatoes, cilantro, jalape?o peppers, onions, some fresh lemon juice, salt, a splash of white vinegar and about a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil!. Then you can pretty much do whatever you want with it!. I usually scoop some up with Tostitos!. Yum! I also make a mango avocado one!. Big yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com

salsa is a blend of fresh veggies (mainly tomatoes), just google it and you'll get a lot of websites with instructions on how to make it or where to buy it!. Its sort of spicy (but can be mild or made without spicy peppers)
