That definitely depends on at what temperature it has been stored!.
If you keep your refrigerator at a lower temperature than most stores, about 34 degrees, then I believe you have just under a week!.
One thing to keep in mind is avoid buying from small family owned stores!. They often keep their refrigeration set at a slightly higher temp which causes milk to spoil more rapidly!. If you bought it at a store like that then I would dump it!.
7-11 boasts that they keep their coolers set at a brisk 35 degrees!.
Overall, take a whiff, if that passes then take a drink!. It will taste sour if bad or even slightly sweet!.
If none of the above apply then mack down the cookies and chase it with ice cold milk and save me some too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Miz Lamb is right; as long you don't detect an off flavor or aroma in the milk, it's perfectly good to drink!.
If you have a container of milk that has been refrigerated and never opened, it will remain drinkable for up to 2 weeks after the sell-by date!. Once the container has been opened, however, the milk starts to go downhill fast!. Airborne pathogens (bacteria and stuff) will speed up the spoiling process,Www@FoodAQ@Com

it all depends what type your drinking!. If your drinking whole milk, you should only drink for 2 days after it expires!. if it' 2% you can drink it for one week after!. yet, you should still make sure it smells okay to drink it, but those we're the rules when I asked the dairy guy in my grocery store!.

If you can see seperation, a layer on top that looks darker than the bottom, or any lumpys in it, it's probably bad!. just give it a sniff and if it doesn't smell funky, take a tiny sip!. If it's turned, you'll know it!. BTW if you have a cat, they love it even if it's turned!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can drink it until it tastes funny or nasty or however you think of that!.
It will get an off flavor in about a week!. But it is still good for cooking for another day or two after it gets the off flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
