Expired honey?...............?!

Question: Expired honey!?!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
The expiration date was May 2, 2009!. Do you think I'll have any adverse effects since it is store-bought honey and only 29 days past!?

I didn't eat very much, either, just a little spread on toastWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Honey does not go bad!.

Even if it crystallizes, all you need to do is sit it in a dish of hot water for a minute or two, or zap in the micro for a few seconds!.

The date is added to comply with laws that require all foodstuffs have an "expiration" date!. It doesn't mean the product is no longer edible!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honey will not go bad unless it has added ingredients!. Natural honey will never "go bad" just harden in cold weather!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Um!.!.!.not sure where you are, but over here it's only March 31, 2009!. You've still got a whole month on that expiration date!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I concure with both!. It's only March 31st and real honey doesn't expire!. It just gets hard and crystallizes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I hate to tell you this but we haven't got to may 2009 yet so eat away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

pure honey doesn't expire, even when stored in room temperature!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
