How do you cook fish fingers without them falling apart?!
Seriously, I know it sounds like a stupid question but they fall apart all the time, its not the cheapo ones either its good old birdseye, also, it says on the pack that you can only grill or oven cook them but I remember having fried ones when I was a kid!? do you fry em!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Don't let them thaw, place on a cookie sheet and bake at a higher temp!. Maybe your oven is on the fritz!. Buy a cheap temp gauge at the local Wal Mart and check it out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can cook breadcrumbed ones just as well as you can cook battered ones!.
You can fry them in a pan or deep fry them, but also lay them on a greased baking tray and place in a pre-heated oven for about twenty minutes and they should be fine also as far as grilling them just place on a grilling tray and cook for approx 3 minutes each side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I grill them!. If you brush the grill wire lightly with oil before you start, then turn the grill on to high and make sure the grill wire is hot before you gently lay the frozen fish fingers on, they shouldn't fall apart!.
Try and leave them alone while each side is grilling, you should be able to see when the first side is ready from the colour!. I use large silicon tongs to turn them over gently!.
If they do stick at all, and you have the tongs, then you can grasp each one with the tongs and very gently shake from side to side to release the stuck part!.
I use the breadcrumb ones too BTW
Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always grill mine!. They used to always fall apart in the oven or on the frying pan :( I have actually witnessed people deep frying them!! Yeuck!
Anyways when I grill them I make sure the grill is hot first then put them on a medium heat and leave them until they are completely done on one side!. This makes them firm enough to stay together when you flip them over!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't grill them on a base - they need the air under them as well so use a slatted grill pan (the wire type)!. Cook them slowly but don't over cook them!. You can oven cook them but grilling is better!.
The only time we ever fried them was when we were camping because we didn't have a grill - and they were gross!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Keep them in the oven long enough so that they're well done and a bit burnt around the edges!.
They're not as floppy that way :DWww@FoodAQ@Com
