Answers:
Yes, I do it all of the time!.

Not so long ago we had fresh green peas in their pod at one price, and fresh green beans at $2!.00kg more!.
I took most of the peas back in the bag and got a refund for the difference!.

The thing is don't use the onion if there was only one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

of course, but personally i wouldn't really care because it's just one onion!. yeah, you paid almost a dollar extra for it, but it's just a dollar!. you'd waste ALL that time[customer service is usually REALLY slow] and gas[depending on your location relative to the store] to get back to the store for less than a dollar back!? if it was a bunch, like a whole bag full or something, i'd jump all over that!. but even with the economy in shambles right now, you can find ninety cents lying on the sidewalk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you go back to the customer service department at the store, they will give you your money back!. Bring your receipt!. You don't have to bring the onion!.

Stores will just believe you (unless you have a bad attitude)!. If it happens all the time, they'll begin to wonder if you're playing them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah take the onion to the counter and explain what happened!. But be polite about it, people make mistakes!. Hope this helps though!Www@FoodAQ@Com
