Pasteurization is the process invented by Louis Pasteur to kill bacteria in the milk by raising it to a higher temperature!.
The milk is heated not boiled so it does not change the constituency of the milk!. As for whether this is a good thing - just look at the back end of a cow and make up your mind!. We need bacteria but not e coli, salmonella or tuberculosis!.

Homogenous means to be the same throughout - blended!.
Homongenization is the process of blending the milk so it is a consistent product!. I remember as older people do before homogenization the cream would rise to the top of the milk and sit there!. The milk is just mixed so again its constituency is not changed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

quick answer with out getting detailed Pasteurizing kills bacteria!.homogenizing incorporates the fat solids into the milk so they don't separate!. the jury is still out whether or not the benefits of killing the bacteria are such a great idea!. in general the body needs a little bacteria to get alongWww@FoodAQ@Com
