Why does water have no flavor?!

Question: Why does water have no flavor!?
Answers:
it actually does have a flavor, but its soluble (i think thats the word), its like tofu, it picks up the taste of what you put in it, but it also dilutes the taste of the flavor at the same time, tap water taste metallicy, thats the iron taste from the faucet, but the water also dilutes the iron taste and makes it less noticibleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Because our tastes buds aren't designed to taste the compounds that are in water (well, H2O!.!.!.!. just one compound)!. They are designed to taste compounds that are poisonous or nutritious (sweet and salty are nutritious, sour is not ripe, umami is protein, bitter is poison)!. We don't need taste buds for water (we could have them, but we don't) because we can tell when we need water in other ways - sore throat, feeling dry!. also we get lots of water from food in the first place so just eating can make sure we don't get extreme dehydration!.

Did you know cats don't taste sweetness!? Because it's not nutritious to them, they're carnivores so they eat meat!. Their taste buds would taste for meat!.

Ours are designed to make us want fruit, primarily!.

Wait, before you go "Sweet and salty aren't nutritious, they're bad for you! And lemons are sour, and tea is bitter, and I like those things!." Human taste has evolved culturally, certain cultures like bitter and sour things!. It's something we learn to like!. Babies don't like them!.

And as for sweet and salty, those are indicators of nutrition in NATURAL foods, but it's not relevant anymore to humans because we get any food we want all the time and we make our own foods out of chemicals!. We've abused our taste buds and given them everything they wanted, and so we have to rely on other indicators to decide whether something is nutritious or not, not just that they are sweet or salty, because we already eat these foods to excess!. We also artificially sweeten and salt foods that would not be sweet or salty!. We make cakes out of wheat which is not sweet!. We salt vegetables which are not salty!. It's because we like sweet and salty things, because we're supposed to try to eat those things (natural things)!.

But even if you try to eat lots of fruit, you're not going to get anywhere, because we've also specifically bred fruits to be EXTRA sweet!. So now, the fruit that was supposed to be really nutritious is full of sugar!. We eat too much sugar and salt, so it isn't even good anymore!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

To the person that says it has a taste from different places!? The only reason is that it isn't pure!. Water in it's purest form is only hyrogen and oxygen!.!.!.which both don't have a taste!.!.!.!.so together it has no flavor to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If that were true, you wouldn't refrigerate it, now would you!?

Just to expound on that, that the tap people add vitamins and minerals to the water supply largely because of taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because the human body is already filled with water!.!.!.!.!.!.and so drinking water does not bring any additional changes to your tongue to detect!.!.!.!.
