How is Halal meat any different than normal meat besides draining the blood?!

Question: How is Halal meat any different than normal meat besides draining the blood!?
According to Wikipedia Halal is a ritual kill where the animal's throat is cut to drain the blood!. I've seen video of slaughter houses in America, I've seen them raise a cow by it's back legs and then they slit it's neck to drain the blood!. Unless I'm missing something here, that's the exact same thing as Halal isn't it!? If draining the blood of an animal is what makes something Halal then doesn't that make all the meat we eat Halal!? What really makes something Halal!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The Muslim butcher must say Bismillah which means in the Name of Allah in arabic while he cuts the animals throat from right to left in order for the food to be Halal!.

And it cant be pork or any animal such as shark/lion that feeds on dead animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Halal--------> kill animal by cutting throat slightly, so that it dies with suffocation and it dies painfully because its windpipe is ruptured, the transition time from life to death is more so animal actually see itself dying!.
its same as someone cuts your windpipe and leave you to die there!.

other one is thatka(-->suddenly)--- in this method head is chipped off suddenly!.transition time from life to death is very less, and we will assume its less painful!.

Second method should be preferred but i don't know why halal is used!.

Don't freak out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Muslim do some prayers while cutting the meat!. They cut the throat of animal slowly and let the blood drain!. Only seafood cannot be halal!. They don't eat pig so they don't halal the pig!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
