Question: Worm in green beans!?!!?
We opened up a can of green beans today and started to dish them out and we found a little green WORM (ewww!.) sort of hanging out of one!. I am absolutely disgusted and it was a well known canning company, I'm just wondering if this is common!? Has it happened to anyone else!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
In canned beans!? Okay, fresh ones is something, but not in canned beans!.
I would write to the company about it!. Still, since beans are an agricultural product, it is impossible to remove every tiny bit of unwanted material, which, sadly, includes worms!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's very common - did you think the beans were grown in sterile laboratories!?

Beans are a raw agricultural product!. Despite the use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material!. Yes, that includes worms!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no i haven't had the worm but i had a meal worm in my cookie and so i wrote a letter to the company they say the store i bought it fro is liable for all uncertainties and so i complained and they gave me a $20 but you have to have proofWww@FoodAQ@Com
