Question: The difference between canola oil and vegetable oil!?
When i go to grocery store, I see two oils from same company: canola oil and vegetable oil!. I'm always using canola oil for baking, and frying while using extra virgin olive oil for all the other cooking!.!.!. what is the difference between vegetable oil and canola oil!? from nutrition fact, they seem to be very similar!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Canola oil is derived from rapeseed!. Vegetable oil comes from a variety of sources, but it's usually mostly corn oil!. Vegetable oil tends to handle high temperatures better than canola oil does!. Canola oil supposedly has less "bad" fat and more "good" fat than vegetable oil!.

vegetable oil is made from various plants!.!.!.!.just about anything has oil in it that can be extracted!.!.!.Canola oil is made from "rapeseed"!.!.!.it was first produced in Canada sometime in the '70's!.!.it is naturally low in acid!.!.!.the word "canola" actually comes from the term!.!.
