Why do you want to eat all the time. Let me count the ways. I think your body is telling you something. You are eating because you are nervous. because something is missing in your diet, poisons in your diet, or because of a malfunction in your body. Most of our foods today are lacking in nutrients. Our veggies and fruits are force fed to make them grow fast which does not allow the plants time to gather the nutrients plants collect when they grow the old fashion way. The varieties the stores sell are varieties with less nutritional values but they will bounce without bruising. Our corporate meat animals are force fed with garbage, filled with hormones and large doses of antibiotics. The beverages are filled with artificial chemicals, most of which are poison to our bodies. Even our city water is full of Chlorine and Fluorides that are toxic to us.

So, to curb your appetite; 1. Try drinking water purified by reverse osmosis or at the least, water that has been distilled. Do not waste your money on plain bottled drinking water, spring water or the small bottles of water because they all come from the city water tap or a well without purification other than filtering the dirt out. Because of this you do not know what your are really drinking. 2.Cut out diet sodas entirely. Diet drink artificial sweeteners make you crave sugar which will make you reach for another soda. It is great for the company making the drinks but not good for you. The other chemicals that sodas contain like; artificial sweeteners, corn sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, phosphoric acid, and artificial colors are hard on your teeth, liver, and pancreas and will cause you to have health problems later in life. 3.Try eating more healthy foods. Find colorful vegetables and fruits and wash them well before eating them especially if they are not organically grown. Raw or frozen are better for you than canned. 4. Take your multiple vitamins daily supplemented with additional vitamins of magnesium, calcium, D, E, B complex and a Co-enzime called CQ 10 to make up for the nutrients that are missing in the food
If you are already doing all these things, 5. try getting more active especially doing something you really enjoy doing. You will forget about eating and your body will adjust your weight to the amount of movement your body does. If you sit you will gain weight, if you move, the stress on your body will cause your body to be slimmer. The effect may go back to when our ancestors had to run from wild animals to not be eaten.
As modern as we think we are, we are still attached to nature. This brings me to item 6. Watch birds at a bird feeder. A day or two before a storm the bird feeders will attract lots more birds. It must be a survival instinct. Just like the birds, your body will sense when a storm or cold front is approaching and make you want to eat more. The last item, but a very important one is 7.The thyroid gland controls you metabolism and appetite. If your thyroid production is not normal, it will cause you to gain weight. A doctor can give you a simple test to find out if your thyroid gland is under performing, normal or over performing. If the thyroid production is off there are diets and inexpensive medications that will control it.

Watching life, nature, and a lot of reading and watching TV

because you're always eating, it's become a habit instead of NOURISHment which is what it SHOULD BE.

stop eating, exercise some willpower. You'll be hungry, eventually that will pass as you get used to less food intake.

and eat healthier, take a look at the nutrition labels and sering sizes of the foods you're eating.

Possible causes: You're really just thirsty (for water, not beer/soda/etc); you have a medical issue prompting excessive appetite(hypoglycemia/hyperthyroid); you have a psychological food problem (bulimia, etc), or you need to find a better way to deal with your free time.

There may be other causes, as I have only thought of a few.
