Have you ever eaten roadkill before?!

Question: Have you ever eaten roadkill before?
and what animal was it before it got run over?

Answers:

Actually yes, and as long as you know how to cook it's really not much different than if you had caught it yourself. Plus it's even better if you did the actually road-killing :)

Make sure to wash and rinse thoroughly, forget about doing anything with the outer skin since it will likely be full of whatever the tires had on them. Don't eat anything from inside the body if it has spilled out onto the ground.

Try not to eat animals like Raccoons or Squirrels because there's a somewhat better chance they have some disease like rabies.

If it's anything else like snakes, rabbits, deer, basically things you would eat anyway if you caught them while hunting are fine.

Believe it or not, you could also eat roadkill like Horse and even Skunk, as long as the Skunk's stink bag hasn't burst already, which is often the case with being run over so watch it, and if the Horse is well fed, since otherwise it has a leathery gamey texture to it.
