Are you picky about your fresh vegetables?!
Mrs Wooly on the other hand has a set criteria as to length, diameter and firmness!
Now Ole Wooly can understand a limp vegi is past it's prime! But the others now should it really matter how long and thick it is?
How do ladies really choose their vegis? Do they have to meet a rigid test?
Who is really picky about their vegis? What do you look for in a vegi?
Do you completely hand test your Vegetables or can you pick the best, firmest and biggest just by looking at it and be completely satisfied?

Yes, you can say I'm probably picky with fresh veggies. I never liked raw tomatoes until just awhile ago. I just love a slice of tomato with olive oil and fresh basil leaf and mozzarella cheese!!!
I do like fresh green peppers, cucumbers, green beans (cooked), carrots (cooked), corn on the cob (yum!), yellow squash sauteed with fresh dill, acorn squash baked with brown sugar, mushrooms (cooked or straight from the garden or store, cabbage (weird on this one...I only like red cabbage cooked or sauerkraut but regular cabbage...YUCK!
I'm not into brocolli, cauliflower, peas, etc.
My fresh veggies must be firm. If they're soft, I don't think they're any good. I like my cukes at a medium length as well as the yellow squash. Zucchini must be smaller in length, otherwise it has too many seeds.
Now if the sun would only come out here and the temperatures really need to warm up. Then the things we planted in the garden will grow. What a weird June. It's only 63 degrees and finally some sun today.
We've had only a couple of hot days here. Finally got some badly needed rain!!!
There are things I'm better at picking and things my husband is, so the task of choosing is divided depending area of expertise :) I'm good at picking fresh, crunchy, things, and he can eye out the sweet ones!
ya i always take fresh vegetables to my family.
