What percentage of your diet should be fruits and vegetables?!

Question: What percentage of your diet should be fruits and vegetables?
Without looking up the answer....

How much of every plate and every snack should be fruits and vegetables to have a healthy diet?

Answers:

I would say at least half of it is a good starting point and it is also quite easy.
Half of the plate in every meal should be vegetables and half of the breakfast and mini meals should be fruits.
A mini meal example is an apple with 5 almonds and a fruity breakfast a wholegrain or sprouted bread with tahini or avocado, served with a glass of orange juice.

For optimal nutirtion you can go up to 70% of fruits and vegetables.
That means eliminating all refined sugars and take all your simple carbs from fruits and eat many nutirtious and calorie dense vegetables, such as carrots, beets, potatos and other roots.
Also remember to include many Green leafy vegetables whcih are essential but they dont provide many calories.

The other 30% you can be any other nutrient dense real food that you change in every meal.
The choices are limitless and depend on your personal needs and likes.
Fish, legumes, low fat dairy, nuts & seeds, whole grains and lean meats are all good choices.

Hope that helps

All the best

6 serving is healthy and normal.

I would say that about 40% of your diet should consist of vegetables and fruit.

Including salads i estimate somewhere between 25%-33.3% (A quarter to a third)

----------all of it------
