Question: What is the best way to mix a duncan hines cake mix?

I am going to bake a red velvet cake using the duncan hines red velvet cake mix, I;ve heard you should always use a hand held mixer for red velvet cake and I was wondering if its the same for the mix.

A hand mixer is great, but a Kitchenaid stand mixer is so awesome. I totally recommend it and it is hands free!
