What kind of topics do you think would be good for an intro on a speech about oreo cookies?!

Question: What kind of topics do you think would be good for an intro on a speech about oreo cookies?
I'm writing a speech about oreo cookies for english and I'm really stuck for my intro and conclusion. I have all the rest of my speech but have no idea about what to write at the beginning. By the way, the body is about the history of oreo cookies, the crazy ways and controversy about how to eat them and oreo cookie variation (like how its changed over the years and the different brands that use oreo as a flavour). One Idea was to write a poem but im not all that sure about that and having difficulty finding one/writing one. Please, if you have any suggestion please tell me *and keep in mind this is for grade 8*
-Thank you

How can you have the body of the speech without an introduction and summation?

Speeches are like papers; you put forward the basic ideas in the beginning, you support those ideas in the body of the work, and you repeat/summarize your points in the end.

Oreos: the cookie of controversy. And envy. Dunk 'em or eat 'em dry? Twist 'em and eat the middle first, or eat them whole? What makes an Oreo the cookie to copy?

Lord, I miss grade school. What a cool assignment.

Well, I'd get people in the mindset of how Oreo's are pretty much the standard cookie. Like how Coke is that standard soft drink, everyone knows what Oreo's are and how they like to consume them. Oreo's are famous. I'd probably put some history into the intro, but I'm not sure what the tone of the essay is supposed to be. But stating the general facts about them seems like a good way to start. Don't know about a poem.
