It most certainly would, remove its head, guts, trotters and tail, put to one side, always remember the only thing you don't use on a pig is its grunt. stick a metal pole down its throat till it comes out of its rear end and place across a fire pit. connect the spit to a caged wheel and place a dog or small child inside to keep the wheel rotating (you don't want to burn the meat do you?) keep the fire going until the meat is tender and succulent, carve off and enjoy.
Oh yes, it is preferable, though not essential, to kill the pig first, this way forcing the pole down its neck will be a little easier. Bon appetite
