Hard boiling an egg using a kettle?!


Question: Hard boiling an egg using a kettle?
like, using the boiled water from the kettle and pouring it into a large cup/ bowl and putting the eggs in there?
can i do that? if so, how long should i leave it in there?

from the word itself "hard boiled egg" it should be boiled, not just by pouring water into it.
half cook eggs also sounds interesting. i think you give it a try.



No, you cannot do that - hard boiled eggs need to be in a pot of boiling water for 3-5 minutes, depending on how cooked you want them to be.

Pouring hot water over them will not cook them very well. The water will get cooled quickly. The water has to be continuously boiling to cook the eggs.
