Is it too much to eat a chinese takeaway every weekend?!

Question: Is it too much to eat a chinese takeaway every weekend?
Me and my dad eat chinese takeaway every weekend, l have:

- Pork fried rice with curry sauce and chips

and during the week, l don't eat anything unhealthy at all. l eat lots of fruit, vegetables, plenty of fish, stir-fry with plenty of chicken, salad/pasta with tuna and low fat mayo, wholemeal bread, yogurts, healthy breakfast, and l never, ever eat any chocolate or fatty foods, except the chinese takeaway.

Do you think that's too much? l'm really, really picky with my food, and l exercise 3-4 times a week. But my dad loves his chinese and it's cheaper if we both have it as there's quite a big portion.

Answers:

Its only indulging in one sinful meal per week so its perfectly fine.
If you are still conscious, skip the chips as the oil they are using for deep frying may be recycled for many times and drink some unsweetened green tea after it to wash away some fats.

Not sure about the chips, you'd do better with some veggies. But if you eat as you say, plus the exercise, you are doing well and a little self indulgence is not wrong with your present regime.

Dark chocolate at 70 % cacao is not fattening and is so strong that 2 pieces go a long long way.

What makes you say picky? or do you mean healthy?

I'd like to see some dairy though.

I wish you well.

No it,s not too much. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a meal that you haven,t had to cook yourself and most Chinese takeaways now are very conscious of healthy cooking.Keep those chopsticks going!

I don't think it's too bad if you live a healthy lifestyle to treat yourself sometimes just make sure your healthy and you'll be fine x

There is nothing wrong with it at all. Most people like to treat themselves at the weekend so just enjoy it.

Its perfectly fine...

its fine =)

Personally, I would think that's a little much, but not crazily so, so I wouldn't obsess over it. I try to limit takeaways to once a month, but I do have the odd treat a once/twice a week, such as a chocolate bar, so it's all swings and roundabouts. As you are eating well and exercising, and maintaining a good weight, you don't have too much to worry about.
Maybe think about switching to boiled instead of fried rice, or skipping the curry sauce (the sauces tend to be high in sugar and artificial colours) but don't forget that we all need to give ourselves a break every now and then an the odd treat will help avoid binges!

Too much MSG, You'll turn into yellow skinned, bad driving, can't pronounce the letter" R" Chinese people !!!
