homemade cigarette tip?!

Question: Homemade cigarette tip?
We have a shotgun roller and i love the taste of the cigs we make. Far better than any store bought...but i do have a problem and was wondering if anyone had an answer to this...the cigs have a bad tendency for the fire to fall out...i have already burned a piece of furniture. def can't smoke them in a vehicle...i have tried packing them tighter (#4 out of 5 setting) of course this makes it a harder draw and doesn't solve the problem. anybody had the same issue? i use a blend of pipe tobacco and full flavor tube cut tobacco. could this be the problem? do i need to pack them looser? any help would be appreciated!

the pipe tobacco being longer cut and harder to pack, indeed is causing you some issue. For the tobacco to retain its shape while burning it needs to interlace properly and big sticks of stuff hinder that. That being said, I used to smoke rollies for some time. They just fall apart. Maybe using a moister tobacco could help. Proper tobacconists will be able to cut pipe style cured tobacco to cigarette style cut for you, if the flavour is what you're after. It naturally being a moister tobacco will probably help keep them together too. Another thing to consider is tube quality, more expensive is not necessarily better. Find one that burns with a consistent ash wall, and suits your tastes. If all else fails, what I would do when they got a little mushy, was poke the end of the cherry in. Quickly but gently, so as not to mash the cherry or get burned.

Too long being a smoker with no $
