Question: Why do simple carbs make me feel drugged/sedated/exhausted?
Like white bread ... candy etc

your body processes carbs faster, so they give you a boost for a much shorter time. try eating more protein / veggies / fiber. those should help you feel more energized. if you are going to eat carbs, try less processed ones, like wheat pasta, rye/pumpernickle/wheat bread, brown rice, etc.



Because it drives up your blood sugar. If it goes high enough, you can actually become disoriented and even mistaken for intoxicated.

Read up on high blood sugar.



Because they break down easily in your body. They give you energy for a short amount of time and then make you feel even more tired than before



Go to a doctor and get tested for diabetes. And don't eat those foods unless you want to feel that way.
