What happens if we consume bread beyond the Best Before Date? Does it mean it is spoilt or doesn't taste good?!

Question: What happens if we consume bread beyond the Best Before Date? Does it mean it is spoilt or doesn't taste good?
How does it matter? When I buy multi-buys from Countdown (that is buying 2 bread loafs for a reduced price), I struggle to finish them by the Best Before Date? Does it matter even I have them 2 days after the Date? Why does it matter?

Bread after the best before date usually gets moldy or hard.
If you eat mouldy bread you'll probably get stomach upset. Not pleasant.
Normally you can keep it up to one day after the best before date, and it should be edible. After that it's best to just throw it away.
Perhaps if you are wasting a lot just buy smaller packs or bake your own?

Best Before dates are usually a little conservative so a day or two after is generally OK. Bread will go stale due to losing moisture and oxidization, this isn't really gonna kill you, just makes the bread less appetizing. Left longer it may start to grow mould. This smells and tastes bad, but again is mostly harmless.

Bread mould is the same mould that attacks fruit and most other food products when they go bad. This mould is EVERYWHERE. It is in the atmosphere, on almost every surface, its even on you right now. If it were in any way harmful, the entire human race would be dead. So long as you have a healthy immuse system, bread mould poses no threat at all. The body is so accustomed to it, you wouldn't even get an upset stomach.

Best before dates mean exactly what they sound like. The product will probably not taste as good after that date. As long as there is no mold or anything and it tastes fine, then there's probably nothing wrong with it. Often the date is put there simply to make you throw it out and buy more, thus increasing profits.

Normally my bread goes moldy about 3-4 days after the best before date. At 2 days after, it will probably just be a bit dry and stale. Should be fine to eat I think, though I normally only use stale bread to make croutons, etc.

it gets stale hard and can mold and dont listen to that other guy mold can be dangerous it depends what kind of mold it is just like mushrooms some kinds are fine to eat some make you hallucinate and some kill you

Bread doesn't spoil it only gets dry or moldy. But the mold isn't bad for you it is actually healthy because that is where they get penicillin.

nothing will happen, it just need to be sold by then, but it can still be good to eat.

I starts to get molds after that date.
