Can I mix chive, mint and basil? Obviously I can but will it taste good?!

Question: Can I mix chive, mint and basil? Obviously I can but will it taste good?
I have a recipe for a herb coating for chicken (coriander, mint) however I'm cooking for somebody who doesn't like coriander. Therefore instead of using coriander could I replace it with basil and maybe throw some chives in to the mix as well, or will the flavours clash? Thanks in advance :)

Yes, the mixture will be fine. If using fresh herbs and you haven't already purchased them, I'd substitute flat leaf parsley for the coriander and mint. Fresh chives are best snipped on top of the chicken after it is cooked. If using dried herbs, I've found dried mint and chives don't have much flavor, try adding some dried oregano along with the dried basil, if you have it.

Go for it, but basil has a taste.
Thyme is like basil, you taste it.
I would just drop the coriander, and add a bit more salt.

Basil has a strong taste.
My brother grew that stuff, and the whole apartment smelled like it, it's not an herb to be taken lightly.

Basil can be quite strong tasting chives mild onion but I think you could put them together. When you mix it taste it before coating the chicken and add more of one herb if needed
