Green tea should be brewed slightly differently from black tea. With black tea you usually want to use boiling water, whereas with green tea you want the water to have cooled down somewhat from boiling. 160-180F (71-82C) is the recommendation for temperature. This is the temperature range in which the first tiny bubbles usually start to form in the pot. You can stop there or you can boil the water and then let it sit for a minute or so before pouring over the pot.

Experiment. It's a matter of personal taste.

How long to steep? Again, that depends on the tea and on your own preferences. 3 minutes is a good target, 1 minute if the tea gets too strong, longer if the tea is too weak.

Good luck!

This is a site that I maintain, which has much more info about how to brew tea:

It should be one tea bag per 6-8 oz cup.
