Take it out of the can. You cannot put an opened can in the fridge. The lining of the can is made in such a way that it can last for years at room temperature.....but when you put oxygen into it by opening it and changing the temperature of the can, the lining becomes toxic and can poison the food. It is best to take it out of the can and put in a covered dish.

any puncture in the can at all would mean it is no longer protected from spoiling. use it within about 3 days, just like you would if you had opened the entire can.

I would take it out of the can and put it in a covered bowl for a few days.
