You can send food overseas but there are certain restrictions to certain countries. Your postal worker can inform you of that because some countries won't allow certain foods to enter their country because of health factors. I'm not sure if there is a different charge for food items but you take a huge risk in sending food because the mail vehicles aren't refrigerated so the food may rot in extreme heat.
