Mom Cooking Something in Crockpot at 3AM!?!

I'm very particular with smells and for some reason its like any smell is like 10 times stronger. My mom will sometimes cook something in a crock pot and she does it at 3am. Whenever the heater is running, it makes my room smells like I'm breathing in whatever she's cooking and its hard for me to breath or even sleep. At times it actually makes me feel hungry, which doesn't help when I'm trying to sleep.

Is this normal? I mean, do I have a right to argue with her and ask not to do this while I'm trying to sleep, especially since I already have a hard enough time. Am I being ridiculous or is she being insensitive?
