Why do people complain about the price of a cup of coffee at Starbucks?!

Question: Why do people complain about the price of a cup of coffee at Starbucks?
But then they go to Dunkin Donuts and spend just as much. My local D&D coffee is just as costly as Starbucks.

Forget the fancy stuff. Im just talking about a cup of joe.

Answers:

There's a couple reasons I've heard over the years..

1) It's an East Coast vs West Coast thing with the perception that Starbucks is "foo-foo" while DD appeals for the average person.

2) Starbucks coffee is over-roasted since their coffee is meant to be mixed into drinks. The over-roasting makes for a burnt tasting cup of coffee. DD is mellower since it's meant to be had as cup'a Joe.

Because coffee at Starbuck's cost's A Latte

Those complaining about the price of Starbuck coffee are probably standing in line at D&D getting ready to swill down a cup of warm brown colored tasteless liquid. The comparable basic "cup of joe" at Starbucks is competitively priced within 0.20 oDD&D's.
