The heat is from an acid. You need to foil the acid with a base, or alkaline substance. Any dairy product will work fine, including milk, cheese, or yogurt.

Sometimes water just spreads it around more, so that's not effective. Try a yougurt-cottage cheese milkshake. Tht should do the trick.

water doesn't help as much at you would think. It takes longer to cool your mouth than milk does.


you could also try brushing your teeth and tongue.

I LOVE SPICY FOOD, SO SPICY IT HURTS SO I ALWAYS HAVE THIS ISSUE.
