Can you help me decode this expiration date?!
A friend from work gave me some of Jay Robbs Whey Protein Shake mix. The expiration date says "70316EXP0309" So did it expire in March of '09 or does it expire July 3, 2016? Thanks for your help!

It is a batch number, but you can assume it is 03/09. Contact the manufactures if you wish.
Unopened it will probably be safe to use.
