would you die if you ate the world hottest chilli?!

Question: Would you die if you ate the world hottest chilli?
Answers:

There are MANY things out there that will kill you if not taken in moderation, even things that are not considered to be toxic.

The hottest chili out there will not necessarily kill you because of the chili itself. Some people are allergic to chili, others have bleeding ulcers that can cause internal bleeding if aggravated. In some cases a person's body can go into shock because of the unexpected taste, but that is very rare.

My feeling is that if you are not allergic, used to eating hot food, and no ulcers, the world's hottest chili will not harm you if you eat in moderation!

Enjoy!

I've seen people survive eating the ghost chili. Your body counteracts the pain with adrenaline and natural endorphins so you don't feel it as much. But it still hurts all the way through if you know what I mean. Depends a lot on your health though.

Recently, the restaurant I work for hosted a hot wing eating contest, and the sauce we made for the wings had a lot of ghost chili in it. No one died, but I did see a lot of grown men cry, vomit, and beg for milk.

Nope the peppers in the chilli only give a sensation of burning and its not actually doing anything.

The peppers fool your nerves into thinking your on fire, defense system of the pepper plant

Personally I probably would but I think your bodies natural defence mechanism would kick in before you got to the point of dying! Vomiting etc would put a stop to the eating!

Chilli is a toxin, in a large enough dose, will kill.

yes, if i wouldn't take any medicine immediately.

No, but you might get a sick stomach

no
