Question about sour candy and it's effects on the tongue?!

Question: Question about sour candy and it's effects on the tongue?
I'm "addicted" to warhead candy. I eat several pieces a day and it usually keeps my mouth sore but I love it anyway. Today I had 2 pieces and I tasted blood. It seems my mouth is bleeding a little bit. I then had another piece (lol) and it burned quite a lot. The ingredients include Malic Acid, Citric Acid, and Ascorbic Acid. Is there anything permanent effects that this could do to my mouth if I eat 3-10 warheads a day, besides rotting my teeth. Can it make my taste buds stop working?

Answers:

Sounds like you are addicted to the "rush". Spicy foods have the same effect on people. It causes a spike in endorphins which makes you feel energized and "alive".

I don't believe it has much effect other then hurting. You should look more into the effect it may have on your stomach.
