is olive pomace oil edible?!


Question: Is olive pomace oil edible?
i bought a bottle of olive oil, then at home saw it said olive POMACE oil..and don't know if it is for human consumption or just to use on a pomace stone, to oil it??? Does anyone out there know?? It does say LOW CHLOSTEROL ON THE BOTTLE..

It's safe to eat it just isn't extra virgin olive oil. "Olive Pomace Oil is the oil that is extracted from the olive pulp after the first press. Once the mechanical oil extraction of olive oil is complete approximately 5-8% of the oil remains in the pulp, which then needs to be extracted with the help of solvents, an industrial technique used in the production of most other edible oils"
